Pricing & Currency

We accept multiple currencies, including JPY, USD, CAD, EUR, RMB, HKD, TWD, SGD, AUD, and GBP.

  • Prices may change without prior notice due to market fluctuations.
  • Payments made in non-JPY currencies may result in differences upon refund due to exchange rate fluctuations and bank or payment provider fees.
  • Any such differences remain the responsibility of the customer, even in the case of a store-related refund.

Tax-Free Pricing: Orders shipped outside Japan are not subject to Japanese consumption tax. Tax-free pricing is automatically displayed for international customers.

Shipping & Delivery

International (Free): We ship worldwide via DHL Express. Delivery typically takes 3–8 days, though timing may vary depending on customs clearance.

Some countries or regions may not be supported due to courier or customs restrictions. If unavailable, checkout will automatically be blocked.

Domestic Japan (Free): Orders are shipped via Yamato, Yu-Pack, or Sagawa.

In-Person Pickup: We offer in-person pickup in Japan and China (location dependent). Please arrange an appointment in advance.

Import Duties & Taxes

Import duties, VAT, and taxes are not included.

  • Determined by your local customs authority
  • Payable by the recipient
  • Not controlled or estimated by Rare Tokyo

Order Changes, Cancellations, Returns

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of our items, orders are processed immediately.

  • Changes or cancellations are not accepted once placed
  • If an exception is approved, the following will be deducted:
    • 6% handling fee
    • DHL Express shipping cost

Customers remain responsible for any customs-related charges.

Vintage Condition Disclaimer: All items are pre-owned unless stated otherwise.

  • Natural signs of wear, aging, and patina are expected
  • Condition is assessed professionally, but perception may vary by individual

We recommend reviewing all photos carefully before purchase.

Product Care & Liability: Rare Tokyo is not responsible for damage or deterioration after delivery due to use, handling, or storage. We are happy to provide general care guidance upon request.

Returns: Due to the unique and vintage nature of our items, all sales are final. Returns, exchanges, and cancellations are not accepted once an order is placed, unless the item received is materially different from its original listing.

  • Minor variations in color or measurements may occur due to lighting and manual measurement
  • Please review all photos and descriptions carefully before purchase
