PRICING & CURRENCY

We accept multiple currencies including JPY, USD, CAD, EUR, RMB, HKD, TWD, SGD, AUD, and GBP.

Please note:

  • Prices may change without prior notice due to market fluctuations.
  • When paying in a non-JPY currency, refund amounts (if applicable) may differ from the original payment due to exchange rate fluctuations and international transaction fees charged by your bank or payment provider.
  • Any such differences or fees are the customer’s responsibility, even if a refund is issued due to a store-related issue.

Tax-Free Pricing

  • Orders shipped outside Japan are not subject to Japanese consumption tax.
  • When accessing the website from outside Japan, tax-free pricing will display automatically.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

International Shipping

  • We ship to 50+ countries using DHL, FedEx, or Yamato International.
  • The courier is selected based on destination, service availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Customers are unable to select the courier.

Domestic Free Shipping (Japan)

  • Domestic orders are shipped via Yamato Transport, Yu-Pack, or Sagawa.

Countries / Regions We Cannot Ship To

Due to courier restrictions and customs regulations, certain countries or remote territories are not supported.
If your destination is unavailable, the checkout system will automatically block the order.

International Shipping Rates

  • Flat rate: $60

Final shipping fees are calculated automatically at checkout.

IMPORT DUTIES & TAXES

Customs duties, VAT, and import taxes are not included in product prices or shipping fees.

These charges:

  • Are determined by your local customs authority
  • Must be paid by the recipient
  • Cannot be estimated or controlled by RareTokyo

ORDER CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Because every item we offer is one-of-a-kind, orders begin processing immediately after placement.

Therefore:

  • We are unable to accept order changes or cancellations once an order has been placed.
  • If an exception is approved due to unavoidable circumstances (e.g., a package returned to us by the courier), the order will be treated as a cancellation, and the following will be deducted:
    • 5.35% handling fee
    • Original shipping fee (international or domestic)

Customers remain fully responsible for all customs duties, VAT, and related charges.

AUTHENTICITY

At RareTokyo, every item is professionally and in-house authenticated prior to listing.

Upon request, a third-party authentication certificate may be provided for an additional fee, subject to brand eligibility and service availability.

VINTAGE CONDITION DISCLAIMER

All items sold by RareTokyo are pre-owned unless otherwise stated. Natural signs of aging, patina, and minor wear are inherent characteristics of vintage items and should be expected.

Condition assessments are based on professional inspection and industry standards; however, individual perceptions of acceptable wear may vary.

PRODUCT CARE & LIABILITY

RareTokyo cannot be held responsible for damage, wear, or deterioration occurring after delivery or as a result of customer handling, storage, or use.

If you require guidance on caring for your purchase, our team is happy to provide general care recommendations to help preserve your item.

RETURN POLICY

Due to the unique, vintage, and one-of-a-kind nature of our inventory, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order has been placed. We strongly encourage customers to carefully review all photos, and descriptions prior to purchase. Please note that slight variations in measurements and color may occur due to lighting conditions, screen settings, and manual measuring.
